Today WGG will be dedicating our monthly membership and community meeting to the Day 7 theme of Migrant Girls and Access to Technology, at 3pm EST. WGG would also like to highlight the voice of young Activist Muna Muday!
Muna Muday, MPH is a Somali-American who grew up in a refugee camp in Kenya before coming to the United States at age twelve. It is this experience that inspired her to become involved in working with vulnerable communities and marginalized populations. She is also a humanitarian advocate at ONE Campaign and Save the Children Network organizations, where she campaigns for preventable diseases, extreme poverty, and early childhood development and serves as the youngest Board of Director at the Nashville International Center for Empowerment.
Her advocacy with refugee communities has been featured in the local, national and international media. She is passionate about Public/Global Health and has worked with multiple public health organizations and is now Senior Program Manager at The Addis Clinic. Addis Clinic, an international telemedicine NGO in East Africa focusing on digital health solutions in Africa and gender based violence.
Muna Muday currently resides in Nashville, TN. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, exploring new coffee shops, and shopping.

The Working Group on Girls is an NGO committee working for Girls, with Girls, at the United Nations. Our Mission is to:
- Promote the human rights of the girl child in all areas and stages of her life
- Advance the inclusion and status of girls
- Assist them to develop their full potential as women.
