October 2nd: Girl Scouts USA
Welcome to Day 2!
Access to Technology: An Opportunity for Every Girl to Change the World
When girls have reliable, quality access to the online world, they are more likely than boys to use that digital power to create, connect, and innovate. They are creating brighter opportunities not just for themselves, but for the world. We must stand together with girls to close the 17 percent global gender gap in technology and help those who do already have access to understand their power.
We can support girl’s use of technology to make positive impact by:
- Giving girls space to safely try new technologies, platforms, and online tools
- Asking about and engaging with their digital world
- Fostering everyday innovative problem solving, whether online or in the physical realm
At Girl Scouts, we’re proud to celebrate International Day of the Girl with Girl Scouts Change the World, a day of digital action and celebration of Gold Award Girl Scouts who are using technology to make the world a better place.
Register now to tune in on Saturday October 9 to this specially designed for girls in grade 4 and up (ages 9-18) and their supportive adults. The event starts at 2pm ET, join us at 1:30 for a special pre-show for even more inspiration.
